Page Rogers began fly fishing for trout with her Dad when she was 8 years old. Under his watchful eye she learned the rudiments of casting on her grandfather's Leonard rod. Fishing summers on the island of Martha's Vineyard eventually led her to pursue fish with the long rod, and to begin to tie flies. Completely self-taught as a fly tier Page became the first woman tier signed by Umpqua Feather Merchants into their royalty fly tier program in the early 1990's. Her saltwater patterns like Rogers' Big Eye Baitfish; Page's Sandeel; Page's Slim Jim; Page's Cinder worm; Beach Glass Rhody 'Chovy and Silversides are proven winners with a quarter century of fish-catching success. She has used and loved Scott rods for more than 20 years, and is thrilled to be part of the pro staff. Page continues to work on developing new patterns and tweaking old ones.
