Pros

Bryce was born and raised in Utah where he grew up fishing and spending time in  the outdoors.  After spending time in Colorado, guiding high alpine streams and  lakes Bryce had the opportunity to move back home to work and guide for Steve  Schmidt at Western Rivers Fly Fisher.  He’s worn several hats over his years there,  between guiding, working in the shop, and running the online business. 

 

Trout fishing on Utah’s small streams and spring creeks of the West are some of his  favorite places to put his Scott rods through their paces. There’s nothing more  motivating and rewarding to him than fishing a dry fly to technical trout, big or  small.

 

During the cold Utah winter months, he likes to slip away to various salt flats  throughout the world. He loves chasing bonefish, permit, and tarpon with his Scott  rods in hand. "Fly fishing to me is about more than the fish, it’s the places it takes  me, the people I meet, and the relationships built.  The world has a different  perspective with a fly rod in hand.”

 

When not fishing Bryce is an avid upland hunter who enjoys spending time outdoors  with his dogs.  "I’m thankful for a supportive wife, top notch employer, and great  relationships with industry manufactures that allow me to live a life I wouldn’t trade  for anything.” If you ever find yourself near Utah look him up and go say hello.
