Bio

Grant grew up in New Mexico, fishing the northern part of the state, and later moved to Fort Collins, Colorado for an education at Colorado State University.

  Fishing had always been a part of Grant’s childhood.  It was traveling and spending time on the water with his father over many years that honed Grant’s technique. Once in college, guiding became his favorite job, and flyfishing his primary obsession.

  After completing his degree while guiding from Estes Park northwards to the storied waters of Wyoming, Grant became the owner/operator of St Peters Fly Shop in Ft Collins Colorado. Grant is the rare fly shop owner that still regularly guides their diverse waters.  Fly fishing is Grant’s life and he loves sharing all aspects of the sport with other people.

  Scott Fly Rods have always been a part of his fishing experience with one of his first rods being an original G series given to him by his father. Specialty hand crafted rods with a certain and special feel, makes Scott Rods his stick of choice. He often tells people one of his favorite aspects of flyfishing is casting, and Scott Rods makes that experience easier and more enjoyable.

Grant's ideal day off is floating rivers with his wife Julia and dog, fishing and enjoying the outdoors.
