James Johnson grew up in a fly fishing
guiding/outfitting family. He splits his time between chasing
Michigan steelhead in the Spring and Fall and basing out of King
Salmon, Alaska, for the summer, fishing the waters surrounding Bristol
Bay. In the winter, James chases tarpon and permit in Belize and helps
promote his family's lodges in Alaska and Belize at various sport shows around
the country.
James started guiding in his mid-teens
and although only in his early 20's, he has fly fishing experience most of
us can only dream about. He spends around 300 days a year on the water
somewhere- either guiding or fishing on his own. Freshwater or saltwater- single-hand or two-hander, James can do it
all!
